Enshrouded Barbarian build overview
The Enshrouded Barbarian build is the game's melee damage build. The Barbarian archetype is designed around heavy two-handed weapons that stun enemies and deal huge damage. Push it toward the aggressive "Berserker" setup and you get what many 1.0 guides call the highest physical DPS in the game.
This guide covers a two-handed Barbarian for 1.0. It stacks Strength, takes the Barbarian archetype nodes, adds Brute, Blood Rage and Merciless Attack from the Warrior side, and adds enough Constitution to trade hits with bosses. You'll get the full skill order, the best two-handed weapons, armor priorities and a stun-lock rotation.

What changed for the Barbarian in Enshrouded 1.0
In 1.0, buffs to existing melee nodes and lower skill costs mean the Barbarian reaches its damage spikes earlier. Gear tier 55 also increases the base damage of top two-handers, and the Barbarian benefits most from big weapon numbers.
Two-handers have no shield, so survivability comes from killing fast and staggering enemies before they can attack. Stun is your defense.
1.0 skill tree reset
Every character's skill tree was reset at the 1.0 launch on October 15, 2026, and all points were refunded. Re-spend your points before leaving your base. Your character level is kept.
Barbarian attribute priority
Attribute points decide how your barbarian build scales. Use this priority when you spend points on the skill tree:
| Attribute | Priority | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Strength | Very high | All of your damage. |
| Constitution | High | About 50 health per point. No shield means you take hits. |
| Endurance | Medium–High | Two-handed swings and dodges use a lot of stamina. |
| Spirit / Intelligence | None | Not used. |
Enshrouded Barbarian skill tree path (level 1–50)
Below is the recommended barbarian skill order for Enshrouded 1.0, split into early, mid and late game. Fill in attribute nodes as you path between these key skills. With the 1.0 level cap at 50 you have more points than in early access, so the late-game tab includes optional flex picks.

Turns staggered enemies into kills.
Battle Heal
Your only reliable melee sustain without a shield.
Best Barbarian gear: weapons, armor, accessories and food
Gear matters as much as skills in Enshrouded. With the 1.0 gear cap raised to 55, always upgrade your main weapon first. Here is the barbarian loadout to aim for:
| Slot | Recommended | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Main weapon | Highest-level two-handed sword, axe or hammer | Hammers stun best, swords are fastest. |
| Ranged backup | Bow | For flying enemies. |
| Armor | Medium/heavy set with Strength + Constitution | Balance offense and defense. |
| Accessories | Melee damage, crit, stamina | Damage first. |
| Food | Strength, health and stamina dishes | All three slots. |
How to play the Barbarian build
- Open with a charged heavy attack to stun the most dangerous enemy.
- Chain heavy attacks on staggered targets. Merciless Attack shines here.
- Dodge out before your stamina runs out. Never empty the bar completely.
- On bosses, punish recovery windows only. Don't trade blow for blow.
- In co-op, attack from the side or behind while your Tank holds aggro.
Barbarian build pros and cons
Pros

Barbarian hybrid builds
Enshrouded has no hard class lock, so the barbarian blends well with other archetypes. These are the best hybrid directions:
