Every summon spell in Enshrouded 1.0
Update 1.0 added summoning to the game: "Players can now actively summon skeletons to fight alongside them", in the changelog's words. There are four skeleton spells and seven totem spells. Stats are base values from the Enshrouded Wiki, before staff, skill and Intelligence bonuses:

Spells marked Eternal don't use charges: you craft them once and keep them. The changelog says every spell in 1.0 has an Eternal version, and Eternal spells can be upgraded like weapons.
How to get the skeleton spell (Hollow Wretch)
All Hollow Wretch spells are crafted by the Collector. The first one only needs Bones and Ectoplasm Fragments, which Hollow enemies drop in the Springlands and Revelwood Hollow Halls:
| Spell | Crafter | Station | Ingredients | You get |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Hollow Wretch I | Collector | - | 20 Ectoplasm Fragment, 50 Bones | 100 charges |
| Eternal Hollow Wretch I | Collector | - | 60 Ectoplasm Crystal, 4 Giant Bones | 1 (Eternal, no charges) |
| Hollow Wretch II | Collector | - | 20 Ectoplasm Cluster, 1 Icy Giant Bones | 100 charges |
| Eternal Hollow Wretch II | Collector | - | 100 Ectoplasm Aggregate, 3 Icy Giant Bones, 2 Diamond Dust, 2 Archaic Core | 1 (Eternal, no charges) |
A Hollow Wretch is an ally that attacks enemies with Cutting and Ice damage and stays for 60 to 120 seconds depending on the tier. Its mana cost is high (102 for the first tier), so cast it before the fight starts.
How to get totem spells
All totems are crafted by the Alchemist. Tier I totems need an Alchemy Station; Ice Totem II, Shock Totem II and all Eternal totems need a Laboratory:
| Spell | Crafter | Station | Ingredients | You get |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Fire Totem I | Alchemist | Alchemy Station | 10 Charcoal, 1 Bronze Bars, 5 Amber, 2 Straw | 20 charges |
| Eternal Fire Totem I | Alchemist | Laboratory | 15 Obsidian, 15 Coal, 10 Raw Wool, 20 Amethyst | 1 (Eternal, no charges) |
| Eternal Fire Totem II | Alchemist | Laboratory | 25 Charcoal, 20 Diamond, 4 Fish Scales, 25 Magma Gel | 1 (Eternal, no charges) |
| Ice Totem I | Alchemist | Alchemy Station | 3 Shroud Adhesive, 1 Tin Bars | 20 charges |
| Eternal Ice Totem I | Alchemist | Laboratory | 5 Iron Bars, 5 Enshrouded Oil, 15 Lapislazuli | 1 (Eternal, no charges) |
| Ice Totem II | Alchemist | Laboratory | 2 Aquamarine Dust, 2 Shroud Sludge, 5 Mother-Of-Pearl | 20 charges |
| Eternal Ice Totem II | Alchemist | Laboratory | 30 Diamond Dust, 30 Ice, 15 Celestium Bars | 1 (Eternal, no charges) |
| Shock Totem I | Alchemist | Alchemy Station | 4 Bonemeal, 1 Tin Bars, 2 Calla Luna | 20 charges |
| Shock Totem II | Alchemist | Laboratory | 5 Shroud Sludge, 1 Iron Dust, 1 Gold Bars, 1 Green Vitriol Dust | 20 charges |
| Eternal Shock Totem | Alchemist | Laboratory | 25 Sparkling Dust, 10 Moonstone Dust, 15 Celestium Bars, 20 Magma Gel | 1 (Eternal, no charges) |
Which totem to use
- Fire Totem: the highest damage per tier, and it explodes when it expires. Best for damage.
- Ice Totem: its projectiles slow enemies by 50% for 5 seconds, so enemies take longer to reach you.
- Shock Totem: the cheapest totem to cast, and its hits deal Stamina damage that fills the enemy's stun bar. The Stamina damage scales with your Intelligence.
Totems last 8 to 11 seconds, so you recast them often. With Totem Mastery you can have several out at once, and you can mix types, for example Ice to slow and Fire to damage.
How many skeletons and totems you can have
Every summon spell says the maximum is "1 by default which can be increased via skills". Two skills raise it, one rank at a time. The text below is the in-game text from the 1.0 game files (build 1267041):
| Skill | Cost | Rank 1 | Rank 2 | Rank 3 |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Advanced Necromancy | 2 pt per rank | Increases the maximum amount of summoned Hollow allies from spells by 1. | Increases the maximum amount of summoned Hollow allies from spells by 2. | Increases the maximum amount of summoned Hollow allies from spells by 3. |
| Totem Mastery | 2 pt per rank | Increases the maximum amount of summoned totems by 1. | Increases the maximum amount of summoned totems by 2. | Increases the maximum amount of summoned totems by 3. |
So the maximum is 4 Hollow Wretches and 4 totems. From an empty tree, maxing Advanced Necromancy costs 10 points by the cheapest path and Totem Mastery 11. On top of that, 1.0 added a global limit: the game "counts the currently active creatures spawned by players and enforces a maximum. When players cast more creatures than the allowed maximum, the oldest creature gets replaced."
Other ways to get minions
- Necromancer skill (1 pt per rank, 3 ranks): When killing an enemy with a Magic weapon, you have a 15% chance to summon a friendly Skull Companion.
- Gem of Lesser Necromancy: a weapon gem that has a chance to raise an unarmored Hollow ally when you kill an enemy, if you don't already have one. The wiki says it drops from the Hollow Reaper in the Nomad Highlands Hollow Halls. 1.0 gave it a limit on how many companions it can raise, and gem companions now "start to lose health after a while when out of combat."
Build a summoner around these spells
Our Enshrouded summoner build (the Necromancer) takes Advanced Necromancy, Totem Mastery and the Trickster nodes that speed up spellcasting, and has a full skill order from level 1 to 50. Load it in the skill planner to see every node, or start from the level 1 to 15 stage. For what changed in 1.0, read the Necromancer before and after 1.0. Healers and Battlemages can borrow a totem too: see the Healer and Battlemage builds.
