Enshrouded Necromancer build overview
The Enshrouded Necromancer build is the newest archetype in the game and is getting a lot of searches after the 1.0 launch. 1.0 added four summoning spells (Summon Hollow Skeleton, Summon Fire Totem, Summon Ice Totem and Summon Shock Totem) and two new skills, Advanced Necromancy and Totem Mastery, which raise how many skeletons and totems you can keep active.
This summoner build takes those tools and puts them in a mage framework. Skeletons draw aggro and deal steady damage, totems hold chokepoints with elemental area damage, and you fire a wand from behind them. The guide explains how to path the new summon skills, which spells to slot, and how to keep your minions alive against 1.0 bosses.

What changed for the Necromancer in Enshrouded 1.0
Summons did not exist as a real playstyle before 1.0. Because Advanced Necromancy and Totem Mastery increase your summon limits, the Necromancer can now hold whole fights by itself. Solo players who struggled with aggro now have built-in tanks.
Since this is a brand-new archetype, exact summon numbers may still change with post-launch hotfixes. We will update this page when Keen Games publishes patch notes.
1.0 skill tree reset
Every character's skill tree was reset at the 1.0 launch on October 15, 2026, and all points were refunded. Re-spend your points before leaving your base. Your character level is kept.
Necromancer attribute priority
Attribute points decide how your necromancer build scales. Use this priority when you spend points on the skill tree:
| Attribute | Priority | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Intelligence | Very high | Magic scaling for your wand and spells. |
| Spirit | High | Summon spells are mana-hungry. Expect to recast often. |
| Constitution | Medium | Your minions draw aggro, but area attacks still reach you. |
| Endurance | Low | Basic mobility only. |
Enshrouded Necromancer skill tree path (level 1–50)
Below is the recommended necromancer skill order for Enshrouded 1.0, split into early, mid and late game. Fill in attribute nodes as you path between these key skills. With the 1.0 level cap at 50 you have more points than in early access, so the late-game tab includes optional flex picks.
- 1
Wizard / Battlemage entry nodes
Get magic damage and crit online first.
- 2
Wand Mastery
Your personal damage while summons are on cooldown.
- 3
Intelligence + Spirit nodes
Mana pool for summons.
- 1
Unity
Mana on wand hits keeps summons flowing.
- 2
Totem Mastery (new)
Raises your totem limit. Take it as soon as it is in reach.
- 3
Constitution nodes
Two or three for safety.
- 1
Advanced Necromancy (new)
Raises your skeleton limit. This is the build's capstone.
- 2

Extra sustain.
- 3
Chain Hit
Better clearing between summon waves.
- 4
Remaining Spirit / Intelligence
Spend the rest on mana and damage.
Verify in-game
Skill names and positions are taken from the 1.0 launch tree. Keen Games may adjust values in hotfixes, so always check the in-game tooltip before committing your points.
Key Necromancer skills explained
Advanced Necromancy
More Hollow skeletons at once. More bodies means more damage and more aggro soaked.
Totem Mastery
More active totems. Mix Fire, Ice and Shock for damage plus slows.
Unity
Wand-based mana sustain so you can resummon all fight.
Best Necromancer gear: weapons, armor, accessories and food
Gear matters as much as skills in Enshrouded. With the 1.0 gear cap raised to 55, always upgrade your main weapon first. Here is the necromancer loadout to aim for:
| Slot | Recommended | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Main weapon | Wand with Intelligence rolls | Personal DPS and mana via Unity. |
| Spells | Summon Hollow Skeleton + 1–2 totem spells | Upgrade Eternal versions when available. |
| Armor | Light set with mana / Intelligence bonuses | Mana is the bottleneck. |
| Accessories | Max mana, mana regen, magic damage | Sustain first. |
| Food | Mana dish, health dish, Intelligence dish | Always fill all three. |
Best spells & arrows for this build
| Spell / arrow | Use |
|---|---|
| Summon Hollow Skeleton | Frontline minions that draw aggro. |
| Summon Ice Totem | Slows enemies so they stay in your kill zone. |
| Summon Fire / Shock Totem | Area damage at chokepoints. |
| Entangle | Roots dangerous elites. |
How to play the Necromancer build
- Summon skeletons before engaging and let them pull aggro.
- Drop an Ice Totem in the middle of the fight and a damage totem next to it.
- Stay behind your summons and fire the wand to refill mana through Unity.
- Resummon as soon as minions die. Don't let your frontline fall apart.
- On bosses, place totems where the boss will move to, not where it is now.
Necromancer build pros and cons

Necromancer hybrid builds
Enshrouded has no hard class lock, so the necromancer blends well with other archetypes. These are the best hybrid directions:
